Financials Narrative

The Financials section is the narrative read of the Fluxx financial model, the story the numbers tell. The model itself (v2.0_Fluxx_Financial_Model.xlsx) is the source-of-truth artifact; this section is the explainer that pairs with it for investor conversations, board prep, and internal alignment.

This section is Tier 2 only. Detailed financials are not Tier 1 wiki content. The Pitch Decks section holds the investor-facing financial summary slides; this section holds the narrative behind those slides.

Replaces v1.4 (JV-shaped) per Q-G89. Y5 headline numbers (placeholder assumptions, per S123)

  • Revenue: $31.1M
  • EBITDA: $21.4M
  • Gross Margin: about 91 percent
  • Core team: 15 named roles (8-10 FTE engineering core, plus founders, creative supervisors, on-set ops, sales)
  • Series A ask: $10M placeholder (vs 2026 median $15M)

All figures are modeled, not actuals. Methodology footnote applies per Pre-Deck Brief Rule. Series A close target Jan 2027 (Y2 M1).

The Y1 cash gap (current open call)

The v2.0 model surfaces a Y1 shortfall: $500K starting cash placeholder against approximately $2.4M Y1 spend, ending Y1 about $1.9M underwater before Series A close. Three resolution paths surfaced in the dashboard:

  1. Confirm actual Jan 2026 cash balance. Placeholder may understate.
  2. Reduce Y1 outsourced spend. Defer Cat 1 starts. Push Norman M4 plus M5 to Y2.
  3. Bridge raise or convertible note in 2026.

Open items (S124 Task #13)

  • Y1 cash gap resolution. Top priority for the build phase kickoff.
  • Series A ask lock. First investor conversations.
  • GPU cloud provider stack pick (Q-G49 §7). Unblocks v2.0 cloud opex line.
  • CTO comp band ($250K-$300K placeholder). Founder-market data needed.
  • Mentor section to add to Headcount tab. Equity-only or modest stipend plus equity.
  • Equipment loan / lease ($500K-$2.5M cumulative placeholder).
