Development

The Development section holds the canonical build plan, the team architecture that executes it, and the current state of the build phase. This is the internal operating plan that the Technology section’s architecture maps to.

S123 closed the blueprint phase: dev plan v0.3 plus financial model v2.0 plus pipeline research package shipped. S124 is the first session of the build phase. The dev plan organizes the work into five categories totalling $6.4M to $12M initial build plus $2.4M to $4M per year maintenance.

Y2 hires at Series A close (CTO, Pipeline architect, Cloud architect, Automate product owner, two Senior Pipeline TDs, Integration engineer). Y5 projection 15 named roles. Mentor / Advisor layer (Jeff Brown Q-G9, Bill Polson Q-G10, Brian Connor, Dan Gilroy, James Cameron quote). Current build phase state (S124, Task #13)

Per SESSION_BRIEF.md Task #13 (Build Phase Kickoff), 8 first-week steps queued:

  1. Resolve Y1 cash gap. Approximately $1.9M shortfall vs $500K placeholder in v2.0. Three resolution paths (confirm actual cash, reduce Y1 spend, bridge raise). See v2.0 Financial Model for the math.
  2. Lock Sheets API live-read pipeline (Tasks #10-12).
  3. Begin CTO 2027 search. Founder-market comp benchmark needed to lock $250K-$300K placeholder. See Team Architecture.
  4. Lock priority DCC list for v0.1. Nuke plus Unreal plus Maya working assumption. See DCC Bridges.
  5. Begin vendor RFPs for Cat 1 plus Cat 4 modules. Small RFP per module to 2-3 vendors before committing.
  6. Pick GPU cloud provider stack (Q-G49 §7 parked).
  7. Lock Series A ask amount. $10M placeholder vs 2026 median $15M.
  8. Confirm core team hiring sequence. Pipeline architect first or cloud architect first.

Architectural rails (do not violate)

  • Fluxx-standalone canon throughout (Q-G89). Fusion / JV is a downstream audience fork. JV go / no-go undecided. Build pages describe Fluxx as a standalone process and standalone company.
  • No third-party at the core of the stack. AYON is blueprint reference only. ftrack is reference design only. Production tracking is built in-house under Fluxx Automate (Cat 3).
  • Norman / GlassBox is vendor only. Cat 3 vendor for V7 milestones. Not partner, not co-founder, not deferred-comp.
  • Ari Jampolsky title: Executive Director & Co-Founder. S126 reverted prior S123 “Director of Set Operations” lock (see Q-G54 for the underlying team architecture context). Use “Executive Director & Co-Founder” as the canonical title on every page that mentions Ari.
