Glossary
Canon source: 00_Context/Glossary.md (operational canon, Kevin-edited) + 02_Working/Strategy/Company_Overview/Glossary_Source_2026_05_03.md (broader canonical body with audit trail). Per-term decomposition into _Master_Canon/Glossary/ is Goal A Phase 6 work (post-Demo-2 per Brain Reorg v0.3 §10).
This page renders the load-bearing canonical Fluxx terms. Industry / VFX / VP background glossaries live separately at 04_Fluxx_Shared/Reference/Glossaries/.
Approved Fluxx terms
Fluxx
The company. Standalone process, standalone company (per Q-G89). Brand-meaning: continuous forward motion; the company that pushes the technology curve forward, not the one that chases it; not a follower of trends, an instigator of them; double-X reinforces extra forward push (S81 lock).
Near-Time Visual Effects
The category Fluxx creates. A new production category that replaces virtual production and traditional VFX with a single pipeline productions own. Not the intersection of VP and VFX — the replacement for both, taking the best of each. Fluxx is the first company naming the category (Q-G57 lock).
Term-tier: full-category. Used on Purpose statements, deck Title slide subtitles, first-impression copy, formal claims. Logo subtitle.
Near-Time VFX
Body-copy abbreviation of Near-Time Visual Effects. Acceptable after the full form has appeared once in the surface.
near-time
Lowercase. Operating-window descriptor (a time window, not the category name). Used to describe Fluxx’s delivery cadence: cinema-quality VFX delivered near-time to the cut.
Fluxx Fusion
The pipeline product that brings Production + VFX + Virtual Production into one. Operative name during JV-gated rename (Q-G66). Leading rename candidate Fluxx Fabrik is locked but not shipped until Sony + GlassBox JV alignment. Compound terms — Fusion Ingest, Fusion Cloud, Fusion Vault, CompViz — all carry the parent name at lock.
ComposiTrack
The canonical product name for the chroma sub-frame architecture (Q-G88 lock, S120). Patent-pending. Three-sub-frame system explanation in Q-G3.
Note: ChromaTrack was the original patent filing name. Per Q-G88, ChromaTrack appears only in the original patent at 03_Fluxx_Private/Patents/ — all non-patent surfaces use ComposiTrack.
Fluxx Automate
The orchestration module of the Fluxx pipeline (Q-G80 lock). Frame 200 of the Kyle voiceover walkthrough video shows the AI verification workflow node with Persona dropdown set to “Claude Sonnet 3.5” — the agentic-pipeline-AI claim from Q-G18 made concrete on screen.
Velvet
The UI library. The software’s “cover” — the surface productions see when they sit at a Fluxx workstation. Velvet v0.1.1 locked S88. Owns its own naming canon (Q-G71 lock).
Warp System
The compute IP. 5 flight cases, 10x RTX Pro 6000, ~$907K BOM. Co-development with 7Starlake (Warp Rendering, Q-G8 — commercial deployment deferred 2027 for the full Gilroy movie).
White Dragon
The June 2026 demo in Taipei. (Glossary entry deferred S119 — Ari’s “seems racist” commentary is the live evidence this entry prevents misreads; should land Phase V. Surfaced in Canon Gaps.)
Track A / Track B / Track C
Audience-tier vocabulary for the Company Overview canon architecture:
- Track A — industry voice (article-shape, production-operator audience).
- Track B — Sony / JV partner voice (diligence-grade depth).
- Track C — cold-audience voice (plain-English, non-industry). Anchored by Q-G81; locked S112 v0.2.
Pre-Deck Brief Field 2 (Audience) drives Track selection. Phase 0 wiki canon work uses Path A only per S120 §8 sign-off; Track C feeds future audience-fork pitch deck work (§14 of Sitemap v0.2).
